Bartending, going out on my days off, good sandwiches, bagel melts, boutique bottled water, new fruity shots, three way dial-a-shot, educating 21 year-olds on bar ettiqutte, educating 45 year-olds on bar ettiqutte ex: ordering a "top shelf Long Island" = idiot, cleaning the bar after an epic night, listening to Dutch/Belgian/French/German bar patrons talk smack and interjecting in their native language - they love that, helping my friends with awkward text messages, having useless knowledge, movie previews, Stella Artois, Don Julio, Makers Mark, watching Louisville miss a dunk so they don't cover, taking part in scheduled blackouts, having your limo stolen by an All-Pro lineman, getting drunk three different times in one 18 hour period, making rent in one day, Vegas 20 times a year, Hard Rock...happy place, my fav bar: Body English - best service/staff in the world, N9NE, Jet, Tryst, Double Down, Empire, $1600 bar tabs, playing 20-40 no limit hold'em and telling everybody we're there for the free drinks, not remembering the plane ride home, three card poker, betting on black 11, Miami - Mansion, Shore Club, Hollywood - LAX, Barney's Beanery, beating the guy from Poolhall Junkies at eight-ball, watching Mr. Belding sing kareoke, 7 piece poppers from Jack, fantasy football, fantasy shopping, fantasy barstaffing, boutiques in LA with a full bar, Golden Tee, pre-shift cocktails, watching roommates take hockey overs and basketball prop bets, any kind of "bomb" shot, picking up shifts, picking up tabs...try it sometime...it feels good, blue cheese on a good steak, $15 sides of mac and cheese, anything carpaccio, skiing, soccer, being a washed-up athlete, golf, Young's Market tourney, seeing how many times Hack can try to kill me with his golf cart, learning from my peers, we live in paradise...swing by for a cocktail.
