One of the few things I remember before I fell into a drunken slumber at my college graduation was our keynote speaker. Can't remember who he was or what he looked like, but I remember what he said. "The hard part isn't to be successful in the path you choose... the hard part is to find and choose your path (I'm sure it was more eloquent than that but I was having an intimate conversation with my flask full of rum and didn't catch everything). So I decided to choose a path. I stayed in beautiful Santa Barbara where I had bartended to pay for school. I launched start up, an online bartender staffing firm, and parlayed that into buying a bar in town which had always been a goal of mine. The startup is now an 8 year old business and the bar (3 and a half years old) seems like it has great future (but man, its alot of work).I always planned to party in my 20's, work during my 30's and retire by 40. So the cutoff on the partying got a little fuzzy, big deal. Either way, I feel like I'm back to square one. Where does my path lead me now? Marriage? New business ventures? Should I cut my hair?Check back, I'll keep you posted.
