About Me
Born 1955, Dothan - Alabama - From a very young age, Marcus was always fascinated with the sounds of all types of music, realizing music had his interests. At the age of 6, learning basics on the guitar from his dad futher his interests in music. As a teen discovering the bass guitar that became very natural, taking lessons from local music store, soon creating a wonderful talent and a sound all his own. Doors started to open playing school events, jazz band, or anywhere he could.
Marcus got a great opportunity to tour Europe, Brussels Belgium, Netherlands, Amstar Dam, Frankford, Heidelberg Germany, Einhoven Holland, filming and recording the Viking tour.
Performing professionally since 1967, Marcus began his journey, performing with various artist and groups on the southeast coast - Freight, Arson Circus, Hombre, Fat Chance, Time Machine, APB, Fire Starter, Night Moves, Razz-ma-Tazz, Elvis Willis Band, Breaking Point, Magic City, JT Roberts, Carl Marcus Project, Broadcast, Tekneek,
Edge, Cross Eyed Cat , Vikings, August, Impack, Risk, Starbuck, Beaverteeth,
Revolver. Receiving an endorsement with Warrior Instruments and designing his own bass strings, Opportunities furthered his dreams - the love for music. After a 40 year stretch career, Marcus still plays every chance he gets, privately teaching in his home town and working with various music projects, currently working with AgesApart. When a song moves him, his emotion and enduring passion enables him to play it in such a way that he moves someone else. Marcus is always searching for new challenges and creative ways to maintain excitement in his performances and perfected his playing skills. His friendly attitude and energy are contagious satisfying giving joy to people.......

Exhaustive search, Cody introduced to Chris and discovered his powerful metal grooves, the guys had to find the potential bassist. After another exhaustive search in finding Marcus with his progressive bass lines. When Chris and Marcus sat down to jam it was just amazing insane rhythm section. Cody adding his melodic guitar and his unique voice to the mix , it made this trio an powerful sound far to none. In forming AgesApart, our styles consist's of alternative, progressive, funk, rock, this has really made this band very original sounding in their music.....it's an insane sound you have to hear and you don't want to miss these guys live performances.
