I'm a freelance high ambitionist. I've been this way since I was born. I refuse to stop until I achieve everything I set out to do. If I'm good at something, I'll get better. If I'm not so good at something it usually means that either I've never tried it, or have little interest in trying it. However when something's just not happening for me, I know when to gracefully acknolwdge so.
Three things you need to know about me :
(1) I can do almost ANYTHING.
(2) If I say I'm going to do it... I'm doing it !!!
(3) I don't QUIT. I'm as tenacious as it gets.
BIO
I was 10 when I decided I wanted to make music for a living. I finally got a real guitar by age 14, and then a Bass at 15 and I just can't stop playing! I also can't seem to stop acquiring basses, guitars, amps, pedals, etc... well you get the idea. If it's a stringed instrument, I can probably play it. If I can't, I'll figure it out. However I like playing the Bass the most. But I can also get by playing Rhythm and Baritone Guitar. Being a melodically driven player, I have been known to throw down some primary melodies when a song needs it.
When I'm in a collective-creative group I typically function as a coordinator and a co-writer. When in the role of a Secondary Player (not in the songwriting team) I'm comfortable and committed. As a session player, I'm intuitive, a quick study, concerned about details, an admitted perfectionist, and yet easy to instruct and flexible. My stage show is always appropriate for the type of gig. Whether it's clothes or attitude, I focus on what's right for the show. Rock shows.... I Rock; Jazz/Groove shows.... I Groove; Ambient/Experimental Shows.... I'm in orbit. No matter what the situation, I definitely have my own vibe I translate. I'd like to think that I approach every session or gig with a sense of enthusiasm only matched by my professionalism.I believe Bass Playing is as much a mental philosophy as it is a physical role in a band. Guitar Players playing Bass are NOT Bass Players. One must THINK like a Bass Player. It is a spiritual occupation, not simply a sonic register. If you need an explanation as to why I understand this truth, chances are we won't be playing together until you find out on your own.I just love to play, and I genuinely enjoy making music, so I'll do whatever is necessary to continue doing so.

By the time of KBF's separation, The group had an impressive resume of shows with seminal soul bands such as Tower of Power . It's fair to say that KBF helped pave the way for a resurgence of local Original Soul and R&B music in the region.

INSTRUMENT/s : Bass Guitar / Baritone GuitarInternationally Touring 4 pc. Ambient Avant-Garde Band from the Sacramento area.
