About Me

I'm a uni student, Linguistics student to be precise, that means I study language. Your language, your neighbours language, distant people's language, you get the picture I hope. It's not all fun and games as you'd imagine it to be but it's definitely more than it seems on the surface.
I'm interested in learning the actual languages aswell, not just how they work. I've been learning Japanese for about a year now, it's hard! I'm interested in all languages, I've decided that by the time I die I'm going to know as many languages as possible, I've set a goal of 15 because 15 is already a rediculous amount of languages and if I go any higher I don't even have a fighting chance.
Apart from that my life is Martial Arts, everything from practicing and studying the principals to watching cheesy Kung-fu films. I like the beauty and power in the movements, the discipline it gives the body and mind and the simple joy of jumping and flipping all over the place!
I'll try anything once, It's actually how I got into most of my hobbies.

Someone who can keep up with me, I'm a bit, how shall I say it, interesting. I'm usually all over the place, it scares lots of people. Apart from that anyone really, just keep me occupied, I don't sleep a lot so its always nice to have something to do at 3am. Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Tony Jaa - all so hardcore

Music:

Most, I'm very open minded. Favourites include: Cornelius (Japanese), London Electricity, Plus Tech Squeeze Box (Jap), Polysics (Jap), The Presidents of the USA, Beck, Mad Capsule Markets, System of a Down, Prodigy, Aphex Twin, DJ Fresh, Chemical Brothers, NOFX, DJ Shadow, Mindless Self Indulgence, Pixies, Deftones, L'arc~en~Ciel (Jap), The Pillows (Jap), Hide (Jap), Asian Kung-fu Generation (Jap), Squarepusher, Less than Jake, and many more I can't be bothered to recount!

Movies:

No, no, no, this little space won't do at all, I need a veritable warehouse to list my film interests. I am a major fan of anything Anime and Asian cineama, amoungst my favourites are: Battle Royale (1 and 2), Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr Vengeance, Brother, Bang Rajan, The Warrior, Spirited Away, Ghost in the Shell, Ichi the Killer (both anime and live action), Akira (just like every anime fan), Infernal Afairs. Then we come to Western Cinema: Waynes World (1 and 2), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Matrix Trilogy, Apocalypse Now, Anything Tarentino. Theres far more but I really can't be bothered to keep listing films, message if you want to know more :D
