Founded in 1988, Idaho Women's Network is the oldest and largest women led organization in Idaho. We provide direct advocacy, grassroots organizing and research and education on policies affecting women, families and communities.The Idaho Women's Network serves as a voice for women, their families and communities in the development of public policy, primarily in the state legislature. We use education, grassroots organizing and lobbying to improve the political climate, develop positive, values-based policies and build power among those who are most disenfranchised and marginalized.We challenge laws, institutions and traditions that marginalize women, gays, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals, people of color and the poor. Our issues are tough, complex and often controversial.We have built a reputation for solid analysis, positive solutions and effective strategies, earning us the respect of lawmakers, the media, allied organizations, and government agencies. We use a collaborative approach that enlists the expertise within our network and in the broader community.The Idaho Women's Network focuses on human rights issues in regard to:* Economic Justice
* Ending Gender-Based Violence
* Reproductive and Sexual Rights
* Political Participation and Democracy
* LGBT Equality
* Quality Education
