Dimaura is made up of members current & former of bands Surrender Dorothy, Stillborn Silence, Taken by the Flood, the Ballot, Salt the Wound, Dissinagrace, Skinnytree, Burningwell, and Red Cellar Doors.
After the member switches & downfall of Surrender Dorothy, Dave and Mark recruited Kaligo/The Boundless guitarist, Drew Simon. During the fall of 2006 the 3 worked on songs like "Genius of Death" and "Ambit of Time" rearranging and developing them into something new. That winter Nick was brought in to jam a couple riffs, which turned into learning a song, which soon formed a musical bond that completed the musical lineup. In April 2007 Nick's former singer Zack (Red Cellar Doors) tried out for vocals and took the job. In August 2007 it was decided that Drew would be staying in GA with the Kaligo gang. So, former Stillborn Silence guitarist, Tony Guardalabene has been brought in to fill his shoes.
Mixing classical guitar work into metal, as well as experimental and progressive genres are only steps in expressing Dimaura's musical
influences and goals.
