THE WRITERSDavid Christopher studied creative writing at
Lancaster University and attended the Royal Court
Young Writer's Programme. He has written for theatre
and film, had short stories published in literary
journals and articles published in the Finacial Times.
Guy’s first full length play, Marlon Brando’s Corset, (Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford, Ed Curtis Associates) completed a successful national tour and London run in 2006. He is currently adapting the piece for film, for United British Artists. Guy has also co-written the musical Never Forget which has toured nationally and begins a West End run in May 2008.
Guy is currently working on a new play under commission to Nabokov Theatre Company, due for production in 2008.Suzanne Heathcote is a professional actor who has worked in Theatre, Film, Television and Radio. She began writing three years ago and since then has attended the Royal Court Young Writers Programme and the Royal Court Invitation Group. He first play Concrete Fairgrounds was one of the ten plays chosen by the Royal Court for the bi-annual Young Writers Festival in 2007. It has subsequently had a development workshop at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh and is in early stages of production for its run in London and New York in 2008. In July 2007 Suzanne attended World Interplay in Australia as a delegate for the Royal Court with her play Bastard. Other works include Plot 10 (Hampstead Theatre 2007), and Reach (UK Tour 2006, Buzz Theatre Co), Suzanne is joint director of the company The Theory of Everything, an artist’s collective who shall be producing their first work in March 2008.Ciarán O'Driscoll studied Drama at Trinity College, Dublin, as well as receiving a scholarship to BADA in Oxford. He has written Lettuce Leaf (reading at the Jerwood Space), Catenane (reading at the Site at the Royal Court), Calls to their Blood (commission for the RSC New Works Festival). He is currently working on two new plays Walking Without Toes and The Stork.Ben Robinson is a writer and a doctor who manfully straddles the two cultures. He recently completed the Royal Court YWP, an experience which has directed and focused his urgent desire to write for theatre. This, combined with research into sensory perception, provides him with a unique window onto human experience and behaviour.Lennie Varvarides set up missfit productions www.missfitproductions.org with amy schulz back in 2005 as part of her MA show at Central School of Speech and Drama and as a continuation to the on going theatre work created under www.alostcreative.org. The aim was to make theatrical things happen without the big boys slowing them down. Missfit hopes to attract every creative addict, who want to do it their way, to brake the rules and to prove a point. Lennie's plays include: Underadress, Crying Out Loud, The Almost and the Nothing, Sire 365, Awkward and Chocolate Sabatage, not to mention all the unfinished plays and random scribbles in old shoe boxes.Jennie Coles studied English at Hertford College, Oxford and has recently graduated from the Slade school of Fine Art where her work with text, performance and video has led to a renewed desire to work in the medium of theatre. Jennie took her debut play Half In Love to the Edinburgh fringe in 2004 and has since written two full-length plays, Doghouse and Guesthouse.Clare Slater’s recent work includes Little One, (rehearsed reading at the Old Vic Theatre, London) and This Is Us, (Bedlam Theatre, Edinburgh & Drama Barn, York: receiving an NSDF new writing commendation). She has recently finished the Royal Court’s Invitation Course as part of their Young Writer’s Programme. She has also worked as a freelance dramaturg and script reader for Apricot Theatre, Mess Up the Mess Theatre, the Old Vic Theatre and the Finborough Theatre, London, and is a member of the Dramaturg’s Network. Clare works in Development for the National Theatre, London.
