Born April 24,1977 the son of Mary and Woodrow Clay. Early in life I had a knak for music I knew lyrics and beats to songs before I could Talk (at least that is what I was told). Destined to be a singer, songwriter, rapper or producer (which is now my mission) I studied music throughout school. I learned to play the trombone, flute, all drums, and some paino. As I reached High School I formed a R&B group by the name of "Devine Harmony", the group consisted of LeTari Quainter, Micheal Nelson, Renard Davis, Charles Clay, and myself. We were somewhat sucessful for our four year run doing things such as weddings, receptions, proms, and church events, before we all went our separate ways.Then life changed, not for good or bad. Life is a lesson that is the way I have always looked at it. I met some kats (Jr. and Slim Jim) that told me to use my gift for words to flip the game in the hood. I can talk my way out of almost any situation and get a good price on whatever I needeed. My dream was to make a million but I fell short about 90%, but hey I tried anyway. After a few years of "BALLIN'" I decided it was time for a change again. This time it was for the best I wanted to be the best father that I could be. Who can do that in jail or hell. With five mouths to feed there was no other choice than to go back to what I love MUSIC.A few years ago my li' cuz, lil'folk, and lil' blood came to me with the group G.B.C.(Gang Bangin' Connection)(Phantom Loc Young Blacc, and T-Manish). I took a strong interest into what they were doing and decided to make beats for them as well as record. Along with G.B.C. I met E-Jay, Relinquished, Ty Durden, Big Dru, and the most influentional of them all TrajicK. All of these kats are forces to be reckoned with. Each has their own style and that has influenced the way that I hear and feel music. Don't Sleep on these fellas they are hungry and ready to put the Mac on the map.The latest edition to the family is a gifted musician who I believe Mozart would like to work with Hamp. Hamp does not make beats he makes music, REAL MUSIC. There is no void in any track that he composes. The track is filled with thought, elegance, and inspiration.So big shout-outs to Soulphoniks Music Group, Phantom Corp., Y.M.E.(Young Mogulz Entertainment) and the latest addition Red Clay.
