Lahr, South-West Germany 2002: A few hardcore and metal-fans are bored with most of the local bands and decide that it’s time to start a new heavy-sounding project. Inspired by metallic hardcore and melodic metal the first jam sessions take place in Lahr with Adrian (v), Ben (d) and Mark (g) under the name “Suki”. Bastian joins the band a few months later on bass. With half of the band doing their civil service in Hamburg Suki isn’t able to practice for almost a year but starts writing new songs in 2004. One year later Bastian exchanges the bass for a second guitar, adding more diversity to the band’s sound. Mark spends some months in England in 2005, causing another break for the group.
2006 marks a new beginning for the whole band: Phallus FGBT starts playing the bass and a second vocalist is found with Andre who had already given his voice to some metalprojects.
The band changes the name to Lysis and begins composing complete new material and developing their own style. Lyrically they cover personal and social issues, the music is still influenced by melodic death-, thrash- and black metal and brutal hardcore.
Recordings for our first album will take place in January 2008 !!
