About Me

The new album 'The Revenge of the Mechanical Dog' is out now.

Dive Dive are a UK based rock band compared variously to early Idlewild, XTC, The Buzzcocks, At the Drive In and Fugazi. We're not sure if any of these really hits the mark but hopefully you'll take a moment to decide for yourself.
Our debut LP, Tilting At Windmills, came out in 2005 and included two singles that got into the top ten of the UK Independent Singles Chart (555 For Filmstars and The Sorry Suitor). We played well over a hundred shows that year, but spent much of 2006 in the studio writing for our second full length release (due out Feb 07). All comments and messages are welcome - we'll get back to as many as we can and keep this page as interactive as possible. Make sure you let us know what you want from it.
Here's some stuff people have said about us:
The point of witnessing history unfolding is that we dont realise its actually history until after the fact. Think of the early residencies The Who played at the Marquee back in the day. No one realized that they witnessed the shaping of one of the worlds greatest Rock and Roll bands, watching Dive Dive play is a little akin, and everybody that missed it will one day realize their folly
- THE FLY

- DROWNED IN SOUND
