My name is Rolf Pilve and I am 19-year-old drummer from finland.
I started to play drums '96, inspired by the great rock player, Cozy Powell.
Since then music have been a huge part of my life and the need to develop
as a musician just keeps growing.'04 was a counterpoint for my playing, as I got accepted to my first band, Sightless.
At the same time I started to take lessons from Heikki Malmberg, who introduced me to
the polyrhytmic playing and gave me really good knowledge about practicing. I got
really involved with drumming, I used to practice six to eight hours every day and
I still try to manage my life to get a time to practise as much as I can. As my passion
for music kept growing, I got interested in a lot of different styles of music, especially
electronic, latin and jazz.I play in eight bands at the time: Maakvartetti, Essence of sorrow, Miseration, Sightless,
Status Minor, Atakhama, Duality and Tanssiyhtye Valo. I am also really interested
in any kind of musical explorations and session work, so feel free to contact me. I also
teach drumming, and if You are interested to take some lessons from me,
