I started playing guitar when i was 12 i believe. I was instructed by Toni Salminen of Farmakon for a couple of months right at the start, otherwise i'm pretty much self-taught. However, my studies at the Conservatory include jazz guitar lessons. I also had my first theory lessons at the same place, and because of that, i barely made it through the boards =)
As a drummer, i am completely self-taught. I started out at the age 15 i think, and wasn't at first much interested in blast-beats and double bass =) Things change. You can play drums with a groove or a drive, i like the feel on both of those approaches, and don't like the idea of completely disattaching myself from neither of those, like some drummers do. (I don't mean to point a finger at anyone, but some drummers say, that there is nothing else (or nothing more) to drumming, than the almighty groove. The same goes with drummers who's only interest is to play blast-beat as fast as possible.)
I also teach guitar and drums to musicians interested in the Tampere area. So, if you are interested in improving your technique, improvisation skill, "touch", or just want to learn more or have a problem you can't seem to solve alone, contact me.
Also, if you're interested in having me sing, play guitar or drums on your project, just ask!
