-= Biography =-
My journey started in the 1982
as a DJ in a Disco Club called Alhambra (La Spezia - Italy)
Together with my friend :
Dj Lee Marrow called Checco and the mythic Dino Neri,
playing the unforgettable songs of the 70’s and 80’s.
In the 1983, thanks to my friend Steve Banzara
I started playing a genre very much in fashion in North-Italy
during that period: afro music,
which included various rhythms and different genres:
fusion, brasil, electronic ,tribal percussions, Indian and funk
until the arrival of the Big House phenomenon of 1987-88.
after which in a short time I developed a passion for Techno music
due to its upbeat electronic sound
At the beginning of the 90’s I started my first recording studio, “Bass Recording”
in association with my friends Alex Neri and Marco Baroni
later known as “Planet Funk.
In 1991, with Marco Colombari and Alessandro Esse,
(Art director of the disco Club Imperiale Tirtrenia in Pisa)
I planned the famous "Radio Mare Imperial News",
a radio station where techno music was played continuously 24h a day.
I started to work at Club Imperiale
re known and appreciated for its exclusive after hours schedule:
Midnight to Noon in the company of DJ Miki Dj, Francesco Farfa, Roby J.
From that time many collaborations were born
with discos, DJs and discography productions
until arriving today to the creation of my new studio (www.zolexstudio.com),
where I continue to work in my current productions....
