Cheap Thrillz is the studio alias for two individuals with a shared eclectic and passionate interest in soulful music of all genres.
The duo consists of a house mixing sample cutter and a beat juggling wax scratching dj/producer. Between them they have played at nights such as Cream, Sankeys, Pacha, The End and Ministry of Sound also including gigs around the globe. OFFICIALLY remixed, produced and wrote for the likes of Destiny’s Child, Mariah Carey, Ashanti, Floetry, Mary Mary and Atomic Kitten. Twice finished runner up in the British DMC Dj Championships and won a Sony Radio Award.
With their huge and varying knowledge of music, the duo has already enjoyed relative success individually. Through this new project they have produced a handful of tracks which have rapidly caught the ATTENTION of several labels.
Cheap Thrillz has allowed them to produce tracks, which are heavily influenced by their broad tastes in music but always aimed at the dancefloor while being DISTINCTIVE. This trademark sound has been further achieved with the ADDITION of vocalist Natalie Crawford who honed her skills with cousin Marsha Ambrosius (FLOETRY). Her vocals have been described as “an instrument of such exquisite expressionâ€.Not content with sticking to one sound as music is how they get their “Cheap Thrillzâ€, they have produced a COHESIVE selection of tracks.
