Maxime Cescau

An accomplished and dextrous engineer by trade, Maxime Cescau has been DJ’ing and producing since the early 90s.
Having moved around a lot in his youth, Max cut his teeth on both the Chicago and San Francisco circuits.
Apart from Maxime Cescau, his writer aliases include Poussez, Toastburglar, Tonrausch and Waxjakkers, not to mention the numerous engineering credits on credible stateside and european house labels.
Maxime has over 30 releases and remixes under his belt and that number is growing strong.
He honed his skills in various post-production studios in California, Dubai and London before committing himself solely to his own creations and label 4bit.
4bit is an eclectic record label and online art gallery that he runs with his Chicago based partner and fine artist Pete Nawara.
Most notably though, Maxime is one half of Poussez. The other being Jafar from Artizan Music/Kwaito Recordings. Together they tour their own productions live, and release on several international labels. Please visit the Poussez website for more info on London's most dynamic deep/tech duo.
2008 sees the pair launching their own night called uptownboogiedown. A true house music Sunday session at the infamous Notting Hill Arts Club. Every second Sunday of every month from 4pm-1am. See website for details.
Jafar and Maxime also host the Artizan Music show on SSRadio fortnightly on the first and third Friday every month. The show is a 2 hour journey covering all corners of House Music and runs from 6pm-8pm peaktime.
