Formed in 2003, Everymanjack have almost stubbornly evaded enduring success. Once doggedly pursued by Bjork's record label One little Indian via 8.30am phone calls, they have since stopped worrying about the music business, and concern themselves with there own business. It was these welcome words from Clive Gregson that pushed them further up the road. Bob Harris described Everymanjack as "A wonderful British Band", whilst promoting their album Septembers early rain on his late Saturday BBC Radio 2 show. The beautifully crafted songs and edgy performances leave a sweet familiar taste on the tongue. "We have no time limit!" Says Peter Belsten, who along with co founder Gram Chadwick, founded the band in the summer of 2003. "We are a slow burner, and we know that. The album may also be a hot potato, in that it doesnt fit in. And we are happy with that too." There is incredible music out there, and the Internet is making that music accessible. Where as once it was in the hands of young A&R executives looking for that million dollar sound. Now its been handed back to the people and their digital recording studios, and resides in the tender laps of the Gods."
