The Heifer Project

The Heifer Project has a great approach to ending world hunger, by giving people the means to feed themselves. Here’s how it works. Families and communities receives animals and training in environmentally sound, sustainable agriculture. Recipient families "pass on the gift" by sharing one or more of their animals' offspring with other struggling families. Each recipient becomes a donor. This process enhances self-esteem, ensures program continuity, builds solidarity and multiplies the benefits of the original gift for generations to come. One gift from you can pull a family out of poverty and into self-reliance and stability now and for future generations.

“Army Wives”, Wendy’s current project has an incredible team behind it, starting with executive producer Mark Gordon (Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, Saving Private Ryan). Of “Army Wives” Wendy said “Every once and a while you’ll find a project that really speaks to you, a project that is important to you because of the context, and the people you represent. “Army Wives” is that way for me. It is an honor and a privilege to tell the stories of Army Wives. It time people got to know these real unsung Hero’s”.

When Wendy isn’t working on a set she loves contributing to others by teaching acting classes at The Los Angles Actors Center. She is dedicated to training and developing actors to work professionally in film and TV. Of teaching Wendy said, “There’s a great old saying that cracks me up, it goes something like this. There are those who do, and the rest teach. LOL. My version of this old saying is. There are those who do, there are those who teach, and there are those who do and teach. I love teaching. There’s something really humbling about being entrusted with the training of another person. I don’t take it lightly. I understand the ups and downs of the business, and I know what competencies actors need to be successful working professionals. "There’s nothing like passing it on."
