Trell Davis, a.k.a, BMT, a.k.a, Stolen Art, is the heart and soul of Resurrection Records Inc. He is both the founder of Big Life Studios, and the foundation of his Lost and Found Production team (Stolen Property). He is the Field out of which our projects grow. Stretching the parameters of Hip Hop across genres to R&B, Neo-Soul, Jazz, or Gospel, it doesn’t matter, if you name it, he can claim it. His mind is like a soulful symphony that orchestrates one masterpiece after another.As Gat Turner so eloquently said of Stolen Art in “Say What U Say”, “He’s the brush, I’m the paint.” Stolen Art has the innate ability to take the words and the passion of an artist and transform them into a song. More than a musician or just another producer, he is a cultivator of artists. It is one thing for you to describe to someone your vision, it is another thing for that someone to take your vision and manifest it into reality. Just as there is a world of difference between a trained painter and a child with a paint brush, so it is w/ producers. Stolen Art is like a Picasso in a classroom full of finger painters.In BMT’s (Beat Master Trelle) evolution we have watched him grow from B*tches, Money, and Trouble to Black, Mad, and Talented to Blood, Music, and Tears, each phase reflecting the pulse of the people at that time. As one third of the group Stolen Property, BMT has been more than just a beat maker, he has also been their DJ. The combination of his production capabilities and his skills on the wheels of steel has undoubtedly made him one of the Midwest’s best kept secrets. In a Game that has been reduced to biters, Stolen Art has managed to remain original. While most producers choose to emulate, BMT has chosen to re-create. Bringing something fresh and new each time he emerges from the Field. Those who have worked with him already are comparing him to the likes of Dr. Dre, DJ Premier, Kanye West, and even the late great Jam Master Jay.In conclusion, Stolen Art is music personified.
