About Me

tru-romantix were finally unleashed in December 2005 at prestigious venue 'The Vibe' in Epsom, Surrey. The band had been a great idea in the minds of founder members Pete, Ade and Micky but had been derailed by various other commitments thus far.
The focus of tru-romantix is primarily early 80's electronic/new romantic/new wave acts such as Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Human League, Soft Cell, Blondie, Gary Numan, OMD, Kim Wilde, The Thompson Twins, Blancmange, A-ha, A Flock Of Seagulls, Dead Or Alive, Frankie Goes To Hollywood etc
The band played their earlier gigs as a 4 piece but have now been joined by the awesome drum talent of Adam Aggiss who has added a totally new dimension and energy to the band as witnessed at recent shows including the triumphant 23 song set at the Weald Hall in Uckfield. Another feature of tru-romantix is that the band have 3 different lead vocalists to make the songs sound more authentic and whoever sounds most like the original sings the song which keeps things very interesting onstage !
tru-romantix are always looking to add new and exciting songs from the glory days of the 1980-1985 so suggestions are always well received. The band have full PA and lighting capabilities so can play any size of venue too. We are available for all types of functions but it's always a good idea to check our song list to see if we are suitable for you. Please feel free to contact us via this profile or via e-mail to : [email protected]
We look forward to enjoying our new Myspace experience !
