Walking on Water, Singapore’s only all-female R&B-Gospel-Pop Band, is made up of Ruth Ling & Christine Sham (keyboards), Mylene Ng (bass) and Audrey Tang (drums). Formed 3 years ago, these women share a passion for playing and singing groovy R&B, Funk and Jazz music. They experimented and applied their varied musical tastes by writing their own Heaven-inspired Gospel songs.Walking on Water’s debut concert on 16 August 2003, at the YMCA Lee Kong Chian Auditorium, showcased just 2 original band-written songs, among other Gospel covers. Since then, they have written more songs and have performed at prominent venues such as the Esplanade Concert Hall & Outdoor Theatre, ArtsHouse, Sentosa Siloso Beach, Fort Canning Park and various private functions, with a wide R&B-Pop repertoire.In spite of their full-time jobs, ranging from Interior Design, Marketing, Composing & Arranging, Concert Touring (Ruth & Christine tour with Stephanie Sun), these 4 women have found time in their hectic schedules to meet weekly to jam and write enough songs to fill an album.On August 5 2006, Walking on Water produced and performed an all-original gospel-R&B concert at the University Cultural Centre Theatre to a full house.
