About Me

..what would I be without my laptop? VERY unhappy AND useless!!! :D I'm German, born in Dresden (East), we left the country in 89, just before the wall came down, and moved to Bavaria. We moved around quite a lot (I visited 12 schools in 11 years ..ouch!), age of 15 I left my moms house and moved to Munich, were I finished school and apparently, discovered the techno scene. After a one years excursion back to the East where I started to work in film business, I went on a seven month travel through Australia at age of 19, which was definetely one of the most profound experiences I've ever had, and I'm very glad I went for it (the way I did it was a bit thoughtless from todays point of view, but I was lucky and had a great time!). Back in Germany, with no home, no nothing apart from the stuff in my backpack, I needed a while to find my way back into a daily routine. A few month later I was lucky again and got one of those really rare internship at a big camera&light equipment rental in Hamburg. So I moved to the North, to push my target of freelancing in camera department for tv-films and commercials. But same here, I couldn't really settle down, and so, another 7 month later and after finishing the internship, my way let me to Berlin, where I could successfully work my way up to a Focus Puller doing major film productions. Unfortunately, after a few years in this physically very demanding job, I got such bad trouble with my back, that I had to stop the shootings. Lucky again, I found a traineeship to a Real Estate agent and property manager, and so I started my first official training in a very solid profession at age of 24. Besides, I helped my English speaken friends and their friends with all sorts of Real Estate (and general) matters. That again led me to the latest twist of my life, having the great honour to be a part of something I always loved and lived, no matter what profession I did: Music and the life around it. Working for Richie and as a part of his recordlabel Minus, I might have found my way to combine my profession with an appropriate quality of daily life. Happy days in Franzieland!! :) Berlin was definetely the smartest move I've done so far, and even though it took me years to settle down here and find the way of life I wanna live, I can say that I'm the happiest person because I've found the most amazing friends, who take me as I am and support me in whatever I'm doing. I love you guys, thank you!

My Interests

I'm sort of addicted to sports, I love Yoga and running, definetely one of the things that make my life much more enjoyable. Second, I love my music, playing around with my decks and the FS2 (thanks Seth, thanks Blondie!), gets me out of the weirdest moods and makes me happy. And third of all, there are my friends, who I love to death and enjoy every second I get to spend with them. Aw yeah, and fooood!! I love food, apparently (which goes quite well with the sports). :) Apart from that, I love travelling (and elephants, favourite destination: South Africa!), although I feel so comfortable now at home that the desire of going away is worlds less than it used to be.

Music:

Here I'm a bit picky, but first of all I love electronic music, minimal funky deep to harder, and the worst is: I can never describe it! But there is definetely a certain groove that catchs me and puts the biggest smile on my face.. Also, since there is so much more music in this world, I love lots of other stuff and like to collect it. I used to listen a lot to 70s and Punk/Grunge when I was a teenager/before I got to know the club scene. Right now it really depends on the mood I'm in, sometimes Reggae, Blues, Jazz, Ethno, 70s, 80s - I appreciate quality though ;) Ah, and I LOVE spoken books, or on a chilled day just some stories on BBC World or Deutschlandradio.. so relaxing!

Movies:

Films, films.. hm. Well, Kill Bill 1 and 2 is pretty good, The Big Lebowski, Lord of the Rings, of course, ah yeah: DEEP BLUE! Awesome!! The BBC documentary about life in the sea, really really good. I'm totally into documentaries, again: they are so relaxing!

Television:

TV is crap, eats up precious time and mostly there's only bullshit on, but still it's really hard to switch it off. Except I got a lot of time (which doesn't happen very often), then I maybe stay in bed and watch TV, but mostly I'm pissed off in the end, cause the day is gone, I didn't do anything and feel like shit cause I didn't move all day.

Books:

Die Entdeckung des Himmels by Harry Mulisch

Heroes:

My heroes are all those people, who stand back themselves, to turn this world into a bit better place.
