Life, and death, and this mess of our existence here.
Circumstances that leave our world crippled and the hope that would cause it to rise again.
Moments of peace and the whispher of wisdom.
One God that holds us all in love.
The eyes of strangers and the hearts of friends.
The knowledge of brokeness, and wholeness.
Faith and mercy, forgiveness and freedom.
A vision that has been cherished.
Surrendering in utter weakness, recognizing the space left for strength, and watching strength, by its very nature, rise up in that space.
Desire.

Distant lands filled with hands waiting to be held, and faces radiant with hope.
The glimmer of a life yet unseen.
Being held together by salvation and consumed by grace.
Conquering what pursues, and mocks us all.
A golden road that shines like the sun, and beckons us to come and walk.
The battle fought within a life of fire.
Wanting to be more than what is or what has been.
Setting captives free from the jailers of hate, blindness, ignorance, sorrow, longing, loneliness.
Purpose.
There is solace from this place, from ourselves and the worlds we have created. There is more than the beating of our hearts, and the breath within us. More than each hour or any day can number. We are lost, we are blindness, we are the raging of the sea.
Most of us do not know what it is to be a beggar. To be a child who will not be fed, or a mother who will be raped in front of her children, a father forced to harm his own child. We are blind to what we have been given.
Where will we sleep tonight, and how can we take this peace for granted?
"The dreamers are the saviors of the world. As the visible world is sustained by the invisible, so men, through all their trials and sins and sordid vocations, are nourished by the beautiful visions of their solitary dreamers. Humanity cannot forget its dreamers; it cannot let their ideals fade and die; it lives in them; it knows them as the realities which it shall one day see and know.
Composer, sculptor, painter, poet, prophet, sage, these are the makers of the afterworld, the architects of heaven. The world is beautiful because they have lived; without them, laboring humanity would perish."~j. allen
We are blind to the things which belong to our peace.
