Saxophonist Paul Riola hails originally from Denver Colorado, but spent 12 years living and playing in Portland Oregon. It was in Portland that Paul had the opportunity to work with the likes of Rob Blakeslee, Michael Vlaktovich, Steve Mackay , Moe Staiano and the Moe!kestra! and Chad Hensels Inquisition Ensemble.
Since moving to Denver Paul has worked with Nels Cline, Janet Feder, Ron Miles, Glenn Taylor, Keenan Wayne, Dave Devine, Cacheflowe, Tony Jefferson, Doug Anderson, Mark Harris, Eric Moon, Greg Harris, Roger Green, Richard Von Foerster, Colin Bricker, Conrad Kehn, Brandon Vaccaro, Art Lande,Tatsuya Nakatani, Jeff Parker, DJ Olive and Scott Amendola
Paul is currently the Program Director for the Colorado Arts Non-Profit Creative Music Works.Creative Music Works is dedicated to promoting and producing innovative artists both locally and internationally in the Denver Boulder area.
