Hi
My name is Carol. I am married with two kids a boy and a girl. My son is 16 and my daughter is 13. My son has Autism and does not talk which makes it hard sometimes. Because he gets frustrated. We had a lot of help learning to understand about Autism.

OK so you except life for what its hands you and get on with things.....I think everyone comes to a point in life when he or she gets a wake up call. Mine was the L word (not that one): Leukaemia. I was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia in June of 2002. So now I guess I have a different way of looking at the world. When you have to fight to be here you appreciate things alot more. I always try to be positive about things anyone who knows me knows I have a great sense of humour and that's probably helped me get through this so far.
I don't want anyone to fill sorry for me. The Leukaemia is under control now. I am doing alright. On Glivec tablets.I love all sorts of music. I have to have music playing almost all the time. Radio on in the kitchen, CDs in the car and media player on my computer. I love just sitting in the sunshine with a nice glass of wine or a cup of tea. It doesn't take much to make me happy. I am easy going and very open minded. I believe in giving everyone a fair go.I just want to say a big THANK YOU to my family and friends for all their love and support they have given me. Thanks to my teenage daughter who has helped me with this my space thing.
Big News
I just got a job. So I'm back in the work force.
It just goes to show what positive thinking can do.
Well that's enough about me. I'm ready to make new friends so say "Hi' OK.
