Music of course and photography. My photography website is only simple at the moment but there are about 10 photos up there if your interested, www.ruwandesilvaphotography.com. I've given you my band websites www.theblackarts.net and www.athousandapologies.com.au... So i play drums and some guitar and singing. Ideally i want to start improving my guitar playing and singing and also learn piano, bass, and many many more instruments. In terms of photography i want to change peoples perception of the arts in Australia(to start with), and i'll do it using FILM!! u hear me? FILM!! hehehehehehe. Yeah but when it comes down to it i want to give, and through music i am always giving whereas in photography you often have to take something in order to give something back, so there's a thin line(i don't like stealing souls and i try and avoid it at all costs). I also dabble in acting and cinematography :)
Someone who understands me on a deep level. meh. It's not that i wouldn't like to meet certain important figures or celebrities, it's just that i know i will meet them some day(infact they may meet me:) so there's no point dreaming about it.
I will listen to anything that has got 'it', I can't explain 'it' but i can feel 'it' when it's there. Anywho, i hate to categorise but i love everything from Jazz: John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, Buddy Rich, etc... to 'Rock': Radiohead, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Iggy Pop, The Flaming Lips, The Vines, Arcade Fire, Wilco, The Frames, Coldplay(their old stuff), Travis, The Living End, The Shins, Elliot Smith, Augie March and the list goes on and on and on... I also love Tom Waits(what a voice!). It doesn't need mentioning but i also have a motherly type of love for all the music that is created between the bands and I(please listen to some on the websites).
Lost in Translation, I Heart Huccabees, Being John Malcovich, Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine of a Spottless Mind, Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas, Dr Strange Love, Good Night and Good Luck, aimless,.....the list can go on but that's just a taste
I generally try and stay away from it... But i must admit, the Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, and Lost(who the hell are the others?!) are good
Fear and Loathing in Los Vagas by Hunter S Thompson(now he's a guy i would have loved to have met). Charlie Koafman is an amazing script writer. Robin Hobb(great fantasy novels). There is a book called 'Happiness in a Material World' and it's written by the Dalai Lama, i recommend it.
