Chris Carlos - Europe's best kept secret.

About Me

Hola amigos.Welcome to all that is me - Christopher Lee 'Carlos' Owen. For those of you who haven't met me yet, I suppose I should quickly say a bit about me, so here it is; i'm 6ft8" foot tall with piercing sepia coloured eyes and a keen sense of smell. I enjoy eating ripe fruit, writing in my journal, chalk and looking through telescopes. I am of russian decent and one day hope to head back to the mother country and serve in the red army for a year or so. My favourite colour is robin's egg blue, I look quite good in a pair of cut-offs and one time I met the actor who played Oompa Loompa number 3 in the original Charlie and the Chocolate factory (his name is Ken).My first language is English but I can also speak a little Spanish and have a basic command of the Tibetan language after spending 7 months living with The Gyuto Monks of Tibet. I can never walk under signs anymore after convincing myself it was bad luck to do so. I am an accredited lip reader who can lip read people from up to 19 metres away!To know me is to love me.Take care.- Chris Carlos.

The Dark Months (A.K.A The Catch Up)

Spending the winter in U.K was what I expected it to be; dreary and bleak. Did you know that sunlight helps stimulate the pineal gland in the brain the gland that produces feel-good chemicals that h...

The Exchange Student

It had been ages since I had last seen my European friend, Elena. Back in the time of madness that was grade 11, she had spent a few months at our school, studying as an exchange student from Italy. N...

The Haggle

Generally, the Moroccan people are very welcoming, accommodating and friendly, that is, until you start discussing cost prices with them.  As soon as the bargaining process begins they transform ...

The Hammam

I wish I was one of those people that can sleep on buses.  Unless I can get the back seat all to myself and use it as some kind of mobile bed, then unfortunatley, sleep is out of t...

The Tomato Fight (Part I)

Well, it was only for a couple of days but I managed to escape from dreary, chav-filled Bradford and headed for glorious sunny Spain.  Its not that I loathe Bradford, but the longer I stay i...

The Walkabout

Well it took some time and a lot of patience but i've finally done it.  After 15 days, i'm finally able to understand most Brittish peoples bizzare and mumbley accents.  It was tou...
