About Me

My work/passion: Baumgartner Fine Art Restoration
My passion/play: Team Clif Bar Midwest
My play/work: Binary Oven
Really, if you don't know me in reality, haven't met me before or will never meet me then the probability I'll add you as a friend is less than promising.
I'm a quasi-intellectual who can't spell for the life of me. A perpetual contradiction would surmise my existance, but that would be too clever now wouldn't it. When I can divert my narcissistic attention it's often focused of art. Looking at, talking about, making, and conserving art is the sun around which this little rock rotates. That being said I've been "asked to leave" the Art Institute, the National Gallery, MoMA, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art for touching, poking, prodding, and smelling (yes smelling) various works of art. I kindly explained to them that I am a fine art conservator and that I was well aware of what I was doing. Suffice it to say this only garnished my otherwise dignified exit with two security professionals. I like to play chess, and will overturn the board if losing. I drink wine and expensive beer while wactching trite television. I despise shiny black shoes and wallpaper shirts. I race bicycles. I am fast on my bicycle. I get hit by cars on my bicycle. I sue said drivers. I make love to my bicycle every day. All in all I feel I'm a superior jerk with an exceptional vocabulary, impecable taste, and a circle of friends that makes my mere existance worthwile.

I have at the same time a plethora to write and nothing of great importance.  Perhaps in a bit I'll post one of those epic rambling tangents that encompass everything...yes, maybe when I'm bored....

Habbits, patterns and ruts

This afternoon while driving home from work, an act I rarely ever do as I usually take public transportation, I found myself heading down a familiar street on my way to a once regularly visited place;...

decissions, destiny, and god-damned ghosts.

A while back I met and well, fell head over heels for a lovely young lady.  In the end she was an apparition and I was left scratching my head, rubbing my eyes and turning 'round all the while wo...

Oogum Boobum Baby!

Upon the theft of my darling little iPod I was heartbroken.  Immediately I ordered another one to fill the void left in my world.  Alas the powers that be decreed that my new iPod would not ...

Well now I'm back to let you know I can really shake 'em down!

This past Thursday I decided that it was high time I treated myself to a haircut.  With the mop having grown out a bit too much and the impending heat wave I felt it was necessary.  While si...

Pain

Yesterday I ventured up to Wisconsin to race their state championship road race; a hilly, windy bitch of a course.  At the starting line it was cold, real cold and as windy enough to make this W...

ugh.

This past weekend I ventured to Iowa (yet again) to race.  Team Clif Bar Midwest's prior trip to said state was less than spectacular.  Perhaps there's something in the water, maybe the air ...
