In the short time that The Defrost Star has been together, they have been quickly working their way to the top of the Cincinnati music scene. Formed in May '03, they play a brand of rock music that is all their own. Combining elements of Rock, Alternative, Emo, and Punk music, they have created an explosive, melodic wall of sound. They use dynamics intelligently, ranging from quiet guitars with softly sung vocals to explosive melodic choruses layered with emotional bursts of shouting. Their music ranges from catchy pop tunes to full-on, in-your-face rock anthems. Their infectious brand of music will be stuck in your head for weeks. And, their energetic, intense live shows will leave you begging for more.
