Sleeping, drinking lots of coffee, and smoking too much top the list. I have the potential to be interested in just about anything in varying degrees. Except for maybe bull riding.
David Bowie, Tori Amos, and Eddie Izzard, or anyone who could introduce me to one of the aforementioned people.
David Bowie is my absolute favorite. I also rather enjoy Tori Amos, They Might Be Giants, the Cure, Sebadoh, Lou Reed, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, the Afghan Whigs, the Twilight Singers, Portishead, and many others. I like a little of just about everything except country. My guilty pleasures are 80's hair bands and Barry Manilow. They make me smile.
Anything with Kevin Spacey or John Cusak in it, or directed by Tim Burton is good. I love Labyrinth, Rocky Horror, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the Last Unicorn, Harold and Maude, Gone Wtih the Wind, Akira, the Man Who Fell to Earth, and True Stories. My more recent favorites are the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Harry Potter movies, and Napoleon Dynamite. I can not, however, watch Nightmare on Elm Street (only the original; I'm ok with the sequals) or the Alien series. I was traumatized as a child. I'm working on it though.
I love Star Trek (TNG & DS9). I am also fascinated by the Iron Chef, What Not to Wear, and Project Runway. I still watch Days of Our Lives, and sadly probably will for the rest of my life. After my soaps I usually tune in to Judge Joe Brown and Judge Mathis. Cartoon Network's Adult Swim is pretty good too, as is Best Week Ever.
Anything by Neil Gaiman or Tom Robbins. I'm also a Shakespeare buff and quite fond of Stephen King's Dark Tower series. The only book I absolutely can't stand is Heart of Darkness.
