I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

If you want to 'add me as a friend' i would prefer if u messaged me first - it's more personable! and i'm not just a number for bands to add to their tally....And if i don't add everyone - sorry!....but sometimes there's not enough time to chek out so much music, but maybe try again later....Myspace can be a bit too much sometimes!.................................................D wellceller is a play on the word Celldweller - one of my favourite music artists - a genius! My life is a constant process of moving away from mechanical/institutional bondage to more fluid/organic wide open spaces. Life should be more like a garden than a factory.I am a deep thinker, but also love humour - especially of the sarcastic, cynical kind. This world so often labels and categorises everyone, and few people seem to be prepared to know the 'real you' behind the outer appearance.I often think of the scene in 'The Matrix' where Neo (Keanu Reeves) wakes up in his pod and begins to realize that his whole life has been artificial and begins to understand how he had been just a drone in a collective hive, but now his life is a journey of discovery. The Matrix synonym and also the 'Borg' analogy from Star Trek are two strong symbols to me of how life is a battle to be self aware and not just a constant sleep walk.

My Interests

Music - especially metal varieties, electronica, prog rock, some soundtrack music etc....I have an ecletic taste in music.....Probably the only styles i definitely hate are rap/hip-hop,ska and country music. There is usually very little commercial music I like.....though i did get into a lot more 'pop music' in the late 70s til the mid 80s. I Love reading certain books and magazines. Also have great interest in psychology,philosophy,etc.... I am an avid lover of nature and also enjoy walking in the country, observing the stars, storms, and the weather. I often get over excited whenever a storm with fierce lightning and thunder is approaching and surrounding, and quickly morph into a child like state! I am a fanatic at collecting photos of various nature scenes such as space, storms, and clouds off the net. Digital photography has also become an interest and i see this developing a lot more.I also regularly run and lift weights, but moderately these days compared to my early 20s.I also love talking with friends about life in general and discussing what life is really all about. Nothing is better than simply passionate conversation with close friends. I enjoy movies but don't go to the movies as much as i'd like and used to, or watch dvds as much either.

I'd like to meet:

my friends here at Myspace.com, many of my favourite music artists and book authors, and those who i connect with here in some meaningful way.

Music:

METAL - many sub genres such as power metal, prog metal, thrash metal, classic metal etc......., ELECTRONICA -especially experimental and atmospheric forms, and Prog Rock are my favourite styles in general...though i hate labelling too much as these genres can have many sub genres and everyone often has their own preconceived idea of music styles. Some of my favourite artists are: Tourniquet, Sacred Warrior, Believer, Vengeance(Rising),Once Dead, Deliverance, The Crucified, Circle of Dust and Celldweller, Visionaire(now Ikarian), Saviour Machine, Neal Morse, Rob Rock, Theocracy, Jacobs Dream, Betrayal, Stavesacre, Level, Mortal, Whiteheart,Steve Taylor, Iona, Fearful Symmetry, Narnia, Divinefire, Orphan Project, Visual Cliff,Protokaw,Orphan Project, My Silent Wake...... Some favourite ever series:Fawlty Towers, Get Smart, The Simpsons, Babylon 5, Star Trek-The Next Generation, The X-Files,John Bradshaw tv specials on 'The Family' etc,Newstopia and Shaun Micalef, The Chaser (War on Everything,CNNNN etc), Seinfeld,The Goodies,Freaks and Geeks (RIP)- only one season!(Not Fair!), Heroes - best series on tv for quite a while!...Also like some nature shows and various docos....English comedy is usually my favourite type of tv comedy, though strangely i like the US version of 'The Office' more than the English version.

Books:

I love many books. Some of my favourites....The Subtle Power of Spiritual Abuse - Johnson and VanVonderen, The Far Side books by Gary Larson, The Really Bad Thing About Free Will, and How to be free from sin While Smoking a Cigarette - Martin Zender, The Ragamuffin Gospel - Brennan Manning, Dangerous Wonder - Mike Yaconelli, The Return of the Prodigal Son - Henri Nouwen, Meeting God in the Darkness - Robert Hudnut, Rethinking the Wineskin,Pagan Christianity,Who is your Covering? - Frank Viola, The Great Dance, God is For Us - Baxter Kruger,The Inescapable Love of God - Thomas Talbott GraceLand,GraceRules,Gracewalk - Steve McVey, The Shaping of Things to Come - Frost and Hirsch,12 Steps for the Recovering Pharisee - John Fishcher, In the Beginning Was Information - Werner Gitt, Signs of Intelligence - William Dembski etc....There are many more loved books - too numerous to list here.
