I'd like to meet:
People who are great to hang with, who have similar interests, who obviously live close to me thus accessible.People who love pottery and would like to add one or many of my pieces to their collection.Gallery owners, Gift Shop owners, or in general, anyone who needs some fresh work, would like to help me promote my pottery and support the arts in the Northwest.Fellow smoke-fire, pit-fire, saggar-fire artists who are willing to swap experience and knowledge. MarkedDeparture.comAnd of course all my friends, past and present.
Music:
Alternative and a wee bit of classical. And that's it! I mean it! Torture me with anything else and I become a major bitch. Don't know much about classical so can't list any favs. Otherwise, taste ranges from D2 to the newest Decemberists. If it is on 94.7(Portland) I either love it or can tolerate it.
Movies:
Smart dramas, Independent, Foreign. I will subject myself to an occasional chick flick when sick or when the hubby is out of town and I need an excuse to inhale a pint of Ben and Jerry's.
Television:
Don't have cable so the pickins are kind of slim. Had cable just for Jon Stewart once but I couldn't justify $50 a month for one show. Miss ya Jon! But I did watch the entire series of Six Feet Under thanks to Netflix. Now plowing through The Sopranos.
Books:
I like to pretend that I am a smarty pants and that I am well read. The truth is that I have no memory so never remember new books that I have heard of or remember the books I have read. I usually resort to listening to Books on CD in the studio since I never have time to crack a cover. The more a book can take me out of reality the better.
Heroes:
Picasso, Volkos, Soldner, Kline, Goldsworthy, Jon Stewart
