About Me

The Wonderfuls are a new and exciting band fresh out of Brighton's thriving live scene. Mixing a wide variety of influences from The Doors, The Beach Boys, and Eels, to Gomez, The Black Keys and Beck, the bands ethos revolves around quality hook laden songs, mixed with uplifting harmonies and the tightest, grooviest rhythm section. forming in early 2005, The Wonderfuls have just won the ‘Best Unsigned Band Award’ at this years BT Digital Music Awards, crammed in over 150 gigs across the south, have been championed by Mark Lamarr and Dermot O’Leary on their BBC Radio 2 shows, as well as receiving airplay on Xfm, BBC Southern Counties Radio, Southern FM and Brighton's Juice FM, along with a mention in the NME's 'New Band Radar' section! A Highlight of 2006 so far being their slot at the Budweiser K Festival sharing the main stage with Athlete, Goldie Lookin Chain, John Butler Trio, and The Upper Room.

Consisting of Tom Sears (Vocals/Guitar), Jason King (Bass/Vocals) and Sam Funnell (Drums) the trio have just finished recording their debut EP simply titled 'The Wonderfuls.' Buy it now from this page or from our website www.thewonderfuls.co.uk
