We are a Charlotte based band that specializes in swing and jazz. We love swinging the most, but mambo ,salsa, chacha and tango have us by the heart strings as well.
Rob Behrends hails from Rutherford County, NC. Robs' first instrument was trumpet. He started learning bass, and guitar in middle school, but his ears were not satisfied until he got his first piano. He loved the instrument so much he spent 7 years apprenticing under the best piano technician he could find. Rob moves from piano, to trumpet, to guitar, within a song like he's greeting old friends at a reunion.
Philemon Black hails from right here in Charlotte NC. He met up with Rauben in high school when he moved to Rutherfordton. Phil was playing violin, trumpet, bass, and guitar by then. His touch for the violin made him a very good lead guitar player too. A very cantabile, and vocal quality make up his style.
Molly J. Brown called Alaska home until she came to Charlotte, where she rocks her tuba with several bands. She really kicks brass!

Emily Estrella, vocalist, t-bone and award winning ballroom dance instructor. She is from Cincinnati, OH mostly. She was singing professionally with a 10 piece funk extravaganza at a very young age. She has a very hypnotic way of telling stories even when she's not singing.
