About Me

It's POST-WAVE SCI-FI COWBOY MUSIC!
Originally founded by Stick Hinson and Regis Murphy as a combined Men Without Hats/Wang Chung tribute band... While the project Men Without Wang was fun, it proved to be unsuccessful attracting a female audience, so they sought out and soon found what they needed: Jasons.
Rescuing Jason Perkins from a secret government agency (whose experiments left him with a bald head and an uncanny sense of rhythm) and adopting Jason Weiss from a Korean orphanage, the quartet was finally complete, and faced with the decision to save the world as we know it or to change it forever. Untold hours of science fiction cowboy cinema, intense study of art-rock, dance punk and new wave, and a quick round of "eeny-meenie, miny-moe" led the group to the only sensible conclusion ("moe"). They would become HOLSTER, and rock in twitchy fashion!
HOLSTER has performed their surprising and inspiring rock shows at venues such as the world-famous Milestone Club, The Evening Muse, Ground Zero, Snug Harbor, and Heather's mom's house. They have played alongside many critically acclaimed, up-and-coming music acts, including Bang! Bang!, Skybox, The Captains (from Japan!), The Ettes, Beat The Devil, Gil Mantera's Party Dream, Dropsonic, The Gentle Suit, and The Zoopy Show, as well as fantastic Charlotte based artists In-V, Transmission Fields, Audioform, Silent Weapons, Illicitizen, S.O.Stereo, Red Limo, and others. A tour of the UK with Pen15 is planned for the summer of 2008.
