.. The Cat & Mr. Cool are Luis del Villar and Francesc Borras, two young spanish producers who starting production together in 1999.Luis is deejing since 1985, working in diferent clubs in Barcelona, the most important Pacha in 1996. He made some remixing for his own session and then meet again an old hometown friend called Francesc. Francesc is a very talented musician who started song writing very young, before the meeting he had produced some other records for spanish companies. After the meeting in 1999 with a progressive track signed under Smart & Smiley (the nick name for techno and progressive), they start to work in different projects, one of this released in 2001 was the album for Tv program "Survivor" (spanish version), a double album with 24 chill out tracks. The Cat & Mr. Cool was born in january 2002, with the money of survivor and some savings, they decided to write a house track, and go to London looking for a that housy english sound. They recorded "Night People", that become number one in Spanish charts, and was included in the Ibiza's Privilege 2002 compilation and become the house hit in this summer being licensed to some other countries in the world. In this summer, they went to Germany to record the next track as Smart and Smiley, recorded with Mathias Menck (Brooklyn Bounce) in Hamburg, that succeded in Spain too. After that, they start to work as producers for different projects from techno to chill-out, from dance to latino. In May 2003, they visit again London to record the new The Cat & Mr. Cool track with the fantastic voice of Linda John-Pierre. The track called "Number one" was released included again in the offcial Privilege compilation this summer.
