Bridggett Bess, a hot new artist on the rise that has become a force to be reckoned with. Growing up traveling the world as an army brat influenced her universal flavor. As a youth Bridggett would lock her bedroom door and re-enact music videos she recorded. As time passed Bridggett began performing in talent shows and made plans to study acting in college. Too shy to sing on stage, Bridggett strengthened her acting skills and obtained BFA (Bachelor in Fine Arts) degree at North Carolina A&T State University. As an undergrad she starred in the award winning original play “David Richmondâ€, by Dr. Sammuel Hay. During the American College Theatre Festival at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. she stole the spotlight, and took home the South East Regional Irene Ryan acting Award.After college this Gemini spirit ventured off to Europe where she rediscovered her true passion, music! Bridggett’s lunge into the old-country came to a stop in Germany, where she fell under the tutelage of Brandon Perkins, an accomplished musician and producer. The shake, rattle, and roll of the Midnight Movers drew Bridggett into the lights of the Cotton Club. After breaking out of her shell on this heralded stage, Bridggett was approached by the German rock band Unreal. As an American Rock cover band Bridggett began to crave a more original path. This urge spawned a little rock Quartet dubbed Ion. During the nova-esque life of Ion, Bridggett belted out powerful vocals over the haunting electric guitar riffs of Michael Lemieux, and heart pumping drums of Antonio Cotonio. After a motivational difference, the fire that made Ion ended Ion.Later, Bridggett moved to New York where she continued performing live rock shows with the band Fly Trap, and even opened for the New York hardcore band, “Murphy’s Law†Between music projects Bridggett performed burlesque starring as “Pandoraâ€, of the troupe Ixion. This inspired her short film, “Pandiâ€, co-written with Josh Smith, ran as a part of a CBGB independent film gallery.Now Bridggett resides in California.
