The Crack, North East music/cultural magazine by Ian Todd, April 2007 :
"The Sunderland scene is full of generic indie and over hyped bands but there is a one man punk army rising from the ashes. His name Coldseat. Dance beats meet snarling punk vitriol resulting in a mish mash like Selfish C*** hanging out with the new rave movement. Armed with only an ipod and a mic, it’s a DIY revolution which is sure to send shockwaves through the local scene once he hits Tyneside and beyond."

The Evening Gazette, May 25 2007 by Rob Nichols:
"First up was COLDSEAT, one young lad from Sunderland and his ipod. He records all his own punk edged electro sounds, then plays them back on his ipod sticking his vocal snarl over the top. Simple but so effective. A new star is born."

"A tiny framed, young guy, making me feel old he looked so young! Very politely came and introduced himself with his lovely Northern accent and told us he was going to performing a few songs. And my, did he perform! What an engaging set. Aided only with a laptop to punch out his sounds and a mic to blear a crisp, clear vocal scream into. His MySpace songs are good but believe me is far more entertaining live.

The Crack, North East music/cultural magazine by Ian Todd, January 2008:"Cold Seat are now a duo and it has given their songs a new dimension as they play a distorted rave punk. From the early solo days with an iPod, the songs have come a long way and after extensive gigging around the north with the likes of Tiger Picks and Crystal Castles, Cold Seat are becoming a force to be reckoned with. New addition, Gus ..boards and Beats is an exciting addition to the act. 2008 will be the time for Cold Seat; their vitriolic dance floor punk bangers will takeover and free us from mundane indie acts."......................................................

rb Magazine by Gill Mills, March 2008:"In the time honoured tradition of one man bedroom bands, Coldseat started off with one angry man and some technology, before hooking up with a human replacement for the technology and channelling some of his commendable anger into his lyrics. It's new wave, grave rave, soon to be everybody's fav. What?"......................................................

ris Is Burning, club promotions, Newcastle, April 2008:"After shocking the North-East with their blistering sets supporting both Crystal Castles and Tigerpicks, Coldseat are exploding onto the lo-fi bleep scene. With their monster synths, slamming beats and distorted vocals, Coldseat are a band disected from the very cortex of scene kids the world over. Unmissable!"
