Breakdown, a concept by belgian top jocks Ed & Kim and Murdock is since 2004 one of the leading alternative dance events in Limburg, Belgium.The parties are based in Muziekodroom, a 3 room complex in the province-capital Hasselt.
The blend of Electro/House/Freestyle and Drum & Bass is highly celebrated amongst young and openminded clubbers.
During almost 3 succesful years Breakdown hosted top players and newcomers in the national and international electronic music scene.
As from november 2006, Breakdown started with a spanking new concept in the restyled cafe called Breakdowncafe. The idea behind the concept is the showcase of a cosy, small priced party for a select audience that has the choice between D&B on one month and Electro on the other one! In between there's the Breakdown Stereo concept, 2 rooms with electro & D&B.
The concepts largest effort called Breakdown XL, with all rooms in full effect, took place 6 times! The last XL edition, at saturday february 3 and jogged down a solid 1.200 thrilled visitors.
And last but not least, let's not forget the Breakdown Summer parties! Since 2005 Ed & Kim and Murdock host 5 thursday-nights during july and august! a steamy, hot range of clubnights backed up by summer customized decoration, food, drinks and the nicest jocks around!
