Akis has been playing drums for various bands in Athens (Greece) and New York (USA) for quite some time. In the summer of the Athens olympics (2004) he recorded an album of songs (& some instrumentals) that had been piling up in the canyons of his mind... After the CD came out, in 2005, he put together a band (Rebecca's Skirt) and played around Athens. "I have to tell you, it's not easy making the transition from drums to guitar and singing under the spotlight - but I did it. In the future I'd like to record some of my english songs..."
Some of the bands he's drummed for and recorded with include Spiridoula, Mousikes Taxiarhies, Pavlos Sidiropoulos, Blue Light, That's Why, Thirty Dirty, Ihoglykaimia (Greece) and The Impatients, Missing Page, Pavlo V, Nicky Skopelitis, Annabouboula (USA).
