Contented and comfortable with life is not the way you would usually describe Gary; the edgy dancer known for his wacky dance routines and quirky personality. It's mostly down to mystery. The way you never understand him completely. For the 9 years since he grooved into the dancing scene at the age of 19, it has been Gary Lee, dancing fanatic. About the fanatic: instructed over 1000 students, pioneered dance group PoisE'n, and proving himself to be a truly versatile artist, Gary revamps himself and the group to suit the ever-changing trends in the industry.
Many fellow dancers come and go but Gary's passion for dance has never changed. Gary has shown his true dimensions of his personality; more polarising is Gary's thing for wild hair, crazy make-up, and weird and wild dance outfits. Gary has been dancing since 1997 and together with his dance crew PoisE'n, they have rocked and rolled their way through countless gigs and events in Victoria and have always done so with much finesse.
PoisEn's passionate take on hip-hop funk has become an accidental distinction for the group in the arena of dance in Victoria. The group has become an antidote to manufactured funk groups. Longevity, originality and an undying passion for dance have driven this unique RMIT Union dance collective to enviable heights in the past decade. Never one to conform, PoisEn has always been exclusive and constantly finding ways to innovate and entertain.
PoisEn specialises in street dancing or hip-hop funk, which is a mixture of street dance, funk and jazz. It is high intensity and its the ultimate way to experience the exuberance of rhythm and soul! This style of dancing is what you see on MTV made famous by celebrities such as Usher, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Janet Jackson. This form of dance requires attitude, confidence and personal-style, and is also very much about having a good time.
