Six years after we left the Kidulthood crew...Sam has been released from jail after doing his time for Trife's murder (a baseball bat battering in Kidulthood). Wanting to do nothing more than move on, he rapidly finds out that not everyone is willing to forgive and forget, and those wanting revenge are out to get him and his family. I’ve been doing this for 12 years now and seriously its such a humbling feeling to know that people are feeling what im doing. What am I doing?. Well one of my main missions is to try and bring a little realness to our TV screens!...u get me blud!! And If theres anyone from Eastenders reading this please get in contact with my agent(ICM) I would love to talk to you about some ideas!! Ok were do I start... My names Adam Deacon. I was born on the 4th of March 1983. (hold tite all the 80’s babies!) and yer im a Londoner born n bred..u might be able to tell from my accent still!.(BIG UP my Hackney mandem!) So how did I get into this acting game?. ..well it all started at school I suppose .. guess you could say that I was a lil hyperactive. I would prefer to use the word imaginative though. I was that kid who tried to make the whole class laugh. Wasn’t really doing to well academically (I was on report half the time!). But there were two subjects that I remember always looking forward to and yep you guessed it…drama and music, I was on it big time. Drama was the one class were I could make everybody laugh but not get in trouble for it. Perfect!. While most man just felt the subject because it was a fairly laid back lesson without loads of worksheets, I was feeling it because it was a chance to really let out that mad side of me. My home life at the time was far from cosy and sweet so there were a lot of mad things going round inside my head (suppose there still is to be honest) but its like with drama I found somewhere to really channel the anger I had inside me. I would devise little plays and improvisations based around things I saw around me. Living in my Hackney estate most of it was doom and gloom. So I would try and add a lil comedy to the things I performed. I would then act it out to the rest of the class and wait and see what there reaction would be. Its mad! It’s like I realised from a young age you could have some really dead lines in a script, that’s not really meant to sound funny but just by the way you change it and say it you could have a whole audience busting up! Trust me I was so on this acting ting. Teachers were starting to notice I might have a hidden talent there. But in the back of my mind I would be thinking yer I love this acting ting but this is all it will probably amount to a couple of performances in the school assembly and that’s it. I wanted more... To be real I wanted to be on TV. But how the hell would sum any estate kid like myself come anywhere near to making that happen?..(Trust me the fam weren’t paying for no drama school) . And that’s when I found out about the Anna Sher Theatre in Barnsbury road N1..its a place that anybody who wanted to get into the acting game could go, any age, any race, any background, rich or poor. You just had to put your name on a waiting list and attend a weekly lesson after school and it was practically free! and if you had that acting ability before you knew it you’d be going up for big TV and film castings. it was a great privilege for me to go to Anna Shers and I learnt so much about the craft of improvisation, It really built up my confidence for the big wide world. And taught me the importance of remaining humble in this profession, its very easy to get caught up in the hype and start believing you’re the greatest thing since sliced bread! But the truth is the work can always dry up and someone that’s hot this minute might not be so hot the next. That’s why I count my blessings everyday that im lucky enough to work in such a creative industry with such talented people!... big up Natalie Cassidy, James Alexandra, Tiana Benjamin, Leon Black, Reggie Yates, Ryan Davenport, and Joe Swash and everybody else in my class at Anna Shers that proved it doesn’t matter what walk of life your coming from all it takes is a dream, hard work and perseverance.DEACONS WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!
