Roger Medium/young/maleRoger is a very sweet 3year old Boxer boy who is 100% Hearing Impaired. He loves to play and nags the other dogs until they give in and wrestle with him. He loves to chew and is often seen with a rope, or another chew toy. Like many white boxers, he is deaf -, but it doesn't seem to get in his way much. He responds to "come here" motions, and seems to know a particular hand signal as "no". Roger can be a bit stubborn about his commands, but usually listens very well. He loves to run and will most definitely need a fenced in yard. ROGERS NEW FAMILY WILL REQUIRE A COMPLETE PRIVACY FENCED YARD. Roger is a new guy in the rescue and will spend some time with us before we post more information on him here View profile

I am recovering well from my heartworm treatment and am looking for a home to love me!!! I like to play and love to lay on my back and let everyone pet my belly. I am really quiet .... even my foster sister is louder than me. I love to play keep away but I share too. I am a very good listener!! I know how to "shake", "sit", and "wait". I am getting better at "stay ". I still have some more treatments to for my heartworm, but go ahead....ask more about me and pick me to be your next family member!! View ProfileBrady Large/young/maleMeet Brady! No those pictures have not been tampered with....he is a BEAUTIFUL fawn. His coat is more mohogany, then the typical browns you see. Unfortunatly Brady just tested HEATWORM POSITIVE at the vet on 11/8/06. He also has a severe case of kennel cough, and is much sicker than we thought :( So poor Brady is in need of a sponsor or two! He is quietly resting and recovering at his new foster home, but any help would be greatly appreciated! Although he is not able to go to a new home until his treatment is over, we are accepting applicaitons on him. View ProfileRocky Medium/young/maleHi, My name is Rocky. I was given that name by my rescue dad cuz well I'm a boxer. Through and through. I have the wiggles, beanies, kisses and oh yeah lots of kisses. I was brought to rescue by a lady who took me away from my real dad. I was a scared mess for a few days. I soon found out that here in rescue they have lots of kids ready to help me re-adjust. I love squeaky toys and sometimes a tug of war game. I am not shy much anymore and just love giving kisses to anyone I meet View ProfileFred and WilmaLarge/adultThese two wonderful kids were surrendered to us as their parents were forced to move. The have been living together for 2 or more years. Wilma is the boss of course and Fred is very protective of his lady. He loves other dogs and cats but Wilma only likes her Fred. We really want to keep them together in the same family so we will be adopting Both to the same family!!!! Wilma will give lots of boxer kisses and is a very quiet girl. Fred is very playful and sometimes gets told to stop by his boss. View ProfileDozerLarge/adult/maleUPDATE 12/4/06: Dozer is doing great with his recovery. He still has some more recovery to get through, but he is now healthy enough that we can take applications on him! He is still in need of some financial help though!! Dozer is fully house broken, and crate trained...BUT he does not need to be crated!! He is good with cats and other dogs. He is a very layed back Boxer. His favorite pass times are snuggling on his big fluffy bed, snuggling with you, or getting his belly rubbed! UPDATE 11/25/06: His leg amputation went great. The vet was able to save some of his leg!! The vet believes that this poor guy was definatly hit by a car. Besides the amputation, he was diagnosed with emaciation, fleas, ear mites, a sever infection in his other back leg, whipworm, roundworn, and tapeworm. He has slight signs of arthritis in his hips, but is still very able to support the ampuation. He is headed down a long road to recovery, and needs as much help as he can get! This poor boy is in need of your help! He came into the rescue as an emergency the day before Thanksgiving and went for an emergency leg aputation the day after Thanksgiving. HE IS LOOKING FOR AS MUCH FINANCIAL HELP AS POSSIBLE. If you would be willing to sponsor him, please click on the link below! View ProfileBuckeyeMedium/young/maleBuckeye is a 1 year old Boxer. He is not a American Bulldog, Pit Bull or Staffshire or a mix of these. He was taken to the Humane Society because he had been hit by a car 3 weeks prior and his owners were unable to take him to a vet. We took him to Animal Emergency and he has 3 fractures in his Pelvis. This does not require surgery and he will heal up just fine. He is on 8-10 weeks of rest and relaxation. He is not allowed to jump up on furniture or run around. Long term problem may be mild arthritis. He is just a sweetheart and very mild mannered. He gets along with other dogs, cats and kids. For more information, please contact Diane at 419-754-4255. Adoption Fee $175.00 View ProfileDeweyLarge/baby/maleDewey is just looking for a new furever home. He is just 14 months old and ready to jump into your heart. Very happy guy loves too play with other dogs and kids too, as long as they can take the body slamming. For a young man he is full of energy and plenty to spare. He is very smart boy and can let himself out of the house and go play with the neighborhood dogs or horses. But he found out horses don't like too play with him. Since he got kicked by one of the neighbors horses he is limping a little and hopefully with some rest all will be fine. He needs a fenced in backyard and friends to play with and a stay at home mom. Adoption fee $200.00 View ProfileLouieLarge/young./maleLouie was a rescue out of a IN kill shelter. He was found half starved to death. When we got Louie he still was under weight He only weighed 44 pounds. Louie should weigh more than 60 lbs.. He has a small frame with a HUGE heart. He is such a snuggle bug he loves to go for car rides and sit right next to you. He plays well with some dogs. He has scars on him that shows not all dogs where nice to Louie. We estimate his age to be under a 1 1/2 years. He does good with cats and does well with people. He might be a little too much for the young kids. The shelter reported he had food aggression issues but he has not been aggressive here. He needs a home with a submissive friend and a stay at home mom or dad. Otherwise he is also happy to go away with you. He hates to be by himself he still gets a little nervous. We can only imagine what stories Louie could tell us about what happened in his young life. View ProfileSarah Medium/young/femaleSarah - dob - June 2, 2003.
weighs 55-60... Sarah is very sweet. She gets along well with other animals. She likes people, but is not overly affectionate. When she was 14 months old she came down with bacterial menengitis. I caught it right away and got her to the vet before she had a full blwn case. She never had the sezieres, but did end up with some brain damage. She was at the vets for 3 weeks and had total amnesia.
She didn't know me or the other dogs, I had to teach her to eat food, lay down, get up, etc. She has come along way in 2 years. She has learned to be a dog again and anyone not knowing her history wouldn't guess that she is not 'normal.

Riley
Riley was a surrender to our shelter along with his companion, Charlie, also on our petfinder site. Their family has a very busy work schedule and felt that they didn't have enough time to properly care for the dogs. Riley is around 2-1/2 years old and is a very handsome guy. He gets along well with all ages of children and also doesn't seem to mind other dogs. Riley is a friendly type guy that was left loose in the house without house training issues. He knows the following commands; sit, shake and switch. Riley is current on routine vaccinations, and will soon be dewormed. If you have any additional questions or are interested in adopting Riley, please contact our shelter at (906) 265-7387. If you are calling to complete an application, please have your vets name and telephone number available when calling. Riley will be altered before adoption

Hi, I'm George. My owner surrendered me because they didn't have time for me. I have been living in a crate all the time. They finally decided to turn me over to the rescue so I could get a new home and a better life. Do you think you might like a really good natured, boy boxer to play with and love? I am two years old and the nicest guy you would ever want to meet. I would just love to have a home instead of a cage. If you are interested in adopting me.... *****PLEASE READ OUR HOMEPAGE*****
