About Me

I joined to view a friends vacation photos. So this is a forced registration. :-P So maybe this site will help put me in touch with old friends, meet some new locals or discover off-beat ideas for things to do in my free time.
But, I think myspace will be a good thing for me. I am a workaholic. I work in the marketing/advertising industry. Right now I am a "Marketing Manager" or "Media and Promotions Manager" depending on what hat I am wearing. I work for a niche market company's in-house marketing department. This is the only time in my life that I have only worked 1 job. I have always juggled 2 (sometimes 3) jobs. Just time filler jobs, but always working.
Right now I am focusing on being really healthy. I am being watched for cancer and have to go to testing sessions every 3 months. I am trying to eat and be as healthy as possible and trying to pure my body of any toxins that may hinder my immune system. I am not negative about the situation. Just try to take it one day at a time. This is a big part (and time consuming) of my life now, so I felt I needed to mention it.
I am not looking to date anyone right now. I got dumped for being an asshole and basically a worthless human being. I miss my ex. :( Now with doctor stuff, the gym, trainer sessions, dietitian consultations...most of my free-time is sucked up (not to mention excess cash). So, please no date requests. I do not have the heart or time to date.

My Interests

I enjoy baseball. Even if the Red Sox aren't playing I enjoy watching the game (as long as the Yankees aren't playing). As far as music, I have been lately getting into Muse, The Killers, The Shins. I love the Brit Invasion music (especially the Beatles and the Zombies), Tori Amos (would love to see her inconcert) and Cyndi Lauper (would love to see her live too). Always been dying to see Ringo and his All-Star Band that roll into town once a year.I enjoy museums, art, history and science. I get all excited like a little kid. I have been itching to go to the zoo and the aquarium as well.I like to paint and may get into that more. Would like to get enough stuff together to have a small showing. I know some local artists and have some connections. I think I could pull that off successfully.I would also enjoy getting involved in music again. Maybe voice lessions or the piano. I used to do both, but when I went to college I dropped everything to study and work my ass off.I love Disney. it makes me forget about the shit in my life. I went to the UK once and loved it. I would like to live there a couple of years.

I'd like to meet:

Hotties I would like to met: Adrien Brody. Angelina Jolie. Gillian Anderson. Hugh Jackman, Kate Hudson. I have a hard time makeing/keeping girl friends. Maybe because I am such a flirt? Some peopel say i am "aggressive"? I dont know, but I really would love to have that gaggle of girls that just goes out dressed all sexy, all laughs and giggles.

Music:

Brit invasion music. I like punky stuff as well (Green Day, The Killers). Chicks I enjoy listening to include Tori Amos, Cyndi Lauper and Nico.I enjoy classical music as well. Especially the classical Mavericks.I also like American Idol stuff. The show is like crack. Yes I buy the albums. (Why are you all laughing at me?)

Movies:

Hard Days Night, Say Anything, Amelie, Spiderman 1&2, Ring 1&2, Run Lola Run, Green Card, Some Like It Hot, Clueless (I know it is a loose Jane Austin adaptation AND has shallow valley girls...I DONT KNOW WHY I LIKE IT), Kill Bill 1&2..so many more. I love escaping in movies.

Television:

I LOVE American Idol (I dont know why but I really do enjoy it), Law & Order. Old shows I loved: Road to Avonlea, Hey Dude, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (I used to have the "Coming Out Of Our Shells" concert cassette--rock on!). I love the old old Disney cartoons too (like the "How To" Goofy shorts).

Books:

I love all types of books. I guess it woudl be easier to say what I dont like. Ayn Rand, Jane Austin and Slaughterhouse 5. I really enjoyed "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test" and "The Handmaids Tale". If anyone can explain what happened at the end of "I am the Cheese", please email me. I am afraid to ask my "smart" friends because it is listed under "youth literature". :(

Heroes:

Walt Disney and Jim Henson. They made people think a little drawn black and white mouse and a sock-foam puppet were real. That is a magical gift.
