NIGEL RAY BECK - a singer/songwriter currently living in Denmark.

NIGEL RAY BECK has currently re-united his live band from the 90’s under a new name NIGEL RAY & THE RAYDIATORS featuring the one and only JAN FONTAINE on lead guitar, PETER KROG on bass & ULLI PETERSEN on drums. Plans are forming for live gigs and intensive recording.

NIGEL RAY BECK is the owner of THE RED ROOM, a country house, built in 1884 and slowly being restored to it’s former glory. THE RED ROOM is a 70 seater "private" venue devoted to bringing American and English singer/songwriters to Denmark on a "house concert" basis. This means small, intimate concerts in a room filled with character using a small PA giving artists the chance to play to an enthusiastic audience of family, friends and musicians. It always sells out. Danny George Wilson, Kevin Montgomery, Andrea Zonn and Chris Cook have all played there and plans for the coming year are ongoing.

NIGEL RAY BECK is currently teaching music and geography at Sundeved Efterskole, Bovrup, Denmark. The efterskole is a unique Danish independent residential school for students between 14 and 18 years old. Presently some 25.000 students attend one of the app. 250 schools throughout Denmark. Well .... these demos are different sides of me...

LAST SAD SONG TONIGHT was written in a rehearsal room.

YOU’RE OUT OF SIGHT was written on a train travelling between Hamburg and Cologne.

RED WINE AND ROSES was written on a 12 string while watching Rescue 911 on the tv.

I AM EASILY FOUND was written in the lounge in the early & lonely hours of morning and recorded next day with my good friend Had Verheijen on dobro. I can still feel the bare floorboards on my feet when I hear it!

raining in denmark....

well just sat here trying out my new MySpace page and trying to forget the weather. The chimney on the studio needs repairing but I don't fancy clambering up on a wet thatched roof today...maybe tomor...
