PHOBIC was born in the cold winter of 1997, with the following line-up: Harian (vox and guitar), Nicko (Lead-Guitar), Carmelo (Drums), Joan (Bass).After a short time some changes were needed: Skull joined as the vocalist and Necros as the bassplayer. In January 1998 the debut demo tape "Over Turn the Cross" was recorded at the at maelstorm studios and produced by Mark Urselli. This demo resulted in a violent mix of Old Style death metal met with Hypocrisy, Dismember and American death influences.After selling some 800 copies of the demo tape at concerts, PHOBIC appeared as a guest, with the track "Christian Lie", on the compilation tape "Down of gods3", which was produced by Metal Horse Prod.Then there was a change in the line-up: Necros decided to play the drums, and Anthon arrived on the bass.In the August of 1998 Phobic made another demo tape in the Maelstrom Studios. The final product was extremely powerful."SWEDISH, SWEDISH, SWEDISH": this is the most frequently used phrase journalists use when writing articles about Phobic.At this point Necros (the drummer) leaves the band and he is replaced by Amon. The contract for the Debut album arrives in March 1999 and Phobic signs with Elegy Productions.In September of 1999 eleven songs of pure old style Metal Death were recorded, again in the Maelstrom Studio : "Sick Blemished Uncreation" of Swedish stamp was the album title. Phobic continued promoting the album, playing with Italian groups like: Natron, Undertakers, Extrema, and November.Unfortunately then the band went through a difficult time and after five years of intense activity, Phobic breaks up.In the summer of 2003 they resume playing with a formation that seemed to be ideal: Harian/Voice & guitar, Fabrizio/Lead- Guitar, Anthon/Bass, Amon/Drums.However after a while when the band appeared to be stable, Harian moved to northern Italy and PHOBIC stopped playing again for a couple of years.In September 2006 Robert, Harian's brother, after 12 years of militancy with HORRID, leaves the band to join PHOBIC!.PHOBIC's line-up today is: Robert "HAMMER" Vocals, Harian guitar and Bass and Vanny HATE Drums (Onirik, Wargore).The three have began rehearsing old tracks and are currently working on new material for their next album lease.
