Upliftment Sound Berlin came into existence in spring 2002, when Solomon and Tom Tom joined the Mystic Roots Crew, then playing every Sunday at the Spreewald Mitte.
Since the early summer 2002 we have been uplifting the people musically on Mondays, too, making the Lauschangriff, a cozy club/bar in Berlin Friedrichshain, our home base. Later that year we joined forces with Zara and Trudi.
The two have found their own missions & destinations by summer 2005, Zara as Mama Rule, Trudi producing singers & creating own riddims for his Boogoo Yagga Dubdisco. One Love.
Early in 2006, Upliftment Sound expanded once again, welcoming on board our new selecta LoveChild.
Upliftment Sound can be experienced at conscious dances all over town, and every now and then on special missions in other cities or even countries.
Upliftment Soundsystem stands for a different kind of reggae experience: We guarantee 100% pure niceness and select conscious lyrics in a tight mix.
Upliftment Sound Berlin provides reggae sounds for every occasion & location. So bashment yes - but hype business we don't deal with. We no kill no soundbways with dubplates, because we believe that boasting & styling won't do, but consciousness will do & skills will show automatically. Upliftment a dweet.
The message is in the music! An Upliftment dance is meant to make you rise & shine, so don't take us for one of the run-of-the-mill party sounds! Upliftment is definitely not about slackness, we detest violence and commercial bling bling lyrics, so we're not even interested in the latest & hottest charts stuff from Jamaica. We play spiritual upliftment sounds instead, be it bashment tunes or chill vibes.

Upliftment Sound Berlin entstand im Frühjahr 2002, als Solomon und TomTom begannen, für Mystic Roots den Dance im Spreewald Mitte jeden Sonntag mit ihrem bescheidenen Warm Up zu eröffnen.
Seit dem Frühsommer 2002 upliften wir die Leute auch montags - im Lauschangriff, einer gemütlichen Bar in Berlin-Friedrichshain.
Im Herbst desselben Jahres stiessen Zara und Trudi dazu, die nach intensivem Austausch seit Sommer 2005 wieder ihre eigenen Wege gehen.
Zara wird uns weiterhin als MamaRule begegnen, während Trudi sich mehr aufs Riddims schnitzen verlegt hat und außerdem als Bogoo Yagga Dubdisco von sich hören läßt. ONE LOVE
Anfang 2006 kam dann Selektah LoveChild mit an Bord, dessen positive Selection sich wunderbar bei Upliftment einfügt.
Upliftment Sound kann man auf bewußten Dances in der ganzen Stadt erleben, und ab und zu auch auf Außenmissionen außerhalb Berlins!!!Upliftment Sound steht für eine andere Art der Reggae-Experience:
Wir verbreiten 100% pure Niceness, wir verbreiten die guten Schwingungen und wählen conscious Lyrics - bewußte Texte - aus, das alles tight gemixt.
Upliftment Sound Berlin bietet Reggae Sounds für jede Gelegenheit & Location. Also Bashment schon - aber mit dem ganzen Hype-Business haben wir nix am Hut. Wir töten keine Soundbways mit Dubplates, denn wir sehen keinen Sinn in der Hochstapelei, sondern überzeugen mit Consciousness, und die Skills stimmen auch.

Upliftment hat nix mit Slackness zu tun, wir verurteilen Gewalt genauso wie kommerzielle BligBling Lyrics, und auch das neueste Charts-Material aus Jamaika interessiert uns meist herzlich wenig.
Wir spielen statt dessen spirituelle Upliftment-Klänge, seien es Partykracher oder ganz gechillte Vibes.
