i am peripatetic at heart. a nomad who stands still long enough to find a new direction. i have friends from over 30 countries, have lived in 3 and have not spent more than 9 months in one place since i was 16. literally, every 9 months i have packed everything i owned and moved it somewhere new, be it a new house in the same county or halfway across the world.
i've lived in china, ohio and northern ny/canada,and nyc, but now call DC my home. i speak english, mid-level mandarin chinese and understand a bit of spanish. i like korean dramas about cooking and adult swim. i work at a fantastic theatre in DC, and tutor the SAT for fun.
i am loud and brash and easy to find in a crowd. i think life is too short to be polite to everyone and worry what everyone is thinking. i want to visit every country in the world, if not every major city. i have two god daughters, one god son, and three nieces. i also have a large spare change piggy bank collection that i like to call their trust funds. i don't believe in marriage, and don't want to have children, but i do want to own a bed and breakfast in new orleans. i've already designed the house i want to one day have, but have no idea if i will ever live there.
i would give almost anything in the world to act. i am a founding member of the fledgling group flaming pants theatre. i am waiting for the sky to break wide open.
i'll spend my winter in caymanian islands, northern ny, kentucky, tennesse and dc. summer '08 i'll go to beijing for my birthday in august (and the olympics!). i also hope to spend a few months after that traveling across south asia, depending on where a number of things stand with my career, my bank account and my man.
i will never stop. i will never slow down. i will never stop wanting to take the rest of my life with me.
