About Me

The Collective Theater Mission Statement (a theater company)+Function: adjective + 1 denoting a number of persons or things considered as one group or whole + 2 formed by collecting 3 of, relating to, or being a group of individuals 4 involving all members of a group as distinct from its individuals 4 marked by similarity among or with the members of a group 5 shared or assumed by all members of the group - collectively.theater theatre Function: noun 1 an outdoor structure for dramatic performances or spectacles in ancient Greece and Rome b : a building or area for dramatic performances c : a building or area for showing motion pictures 2 a place or sphere of enactment of usually significant events or action.WHAT...Our goal is to provide an evolving company of people that brings gifted individuals together to express their artistic talents through new works that stimulate the political, sexual and emotional connections of human beings in an disconnected world. We seek new and provocative theater/performance art pieces and partner them with appropriate people to share their vision. We are actors, directors, writers, producers, technicians and dramaturges but not exclusively. Profit is not the goal, art for arts sake, and free expression is. The Collective is comprised of artists who want to share their unique strengths to bring work of merit to the small and large stage.WHO...Working on this…. In our fantasy – we are everyone.. Wanna direct? Write? We are in the initial stages of setting up projects – performances, everything … We want to be a real voice in a world of been there done that…We are an inclusive company with exclusive and hopefully cutting edge ideas as well as ideals. No negativity or anger within – but when it comes to the projects chosen we are diligent in wanting to inspire, debate, question, laugh and cry.

My Interests

..

I'd like to meet:

Our souls as actors, writers, dancers, directors and so on are enflamed with that heart felt desire, a quest to be that unclothed individual with whom my life is given meaning. We yearn for the touch of another day of simply wanting to take the stage. For when we do, when our hands, our hearts, our passions (everything we trained for) meld and fold into one right before you, we as actors, writers, dancers, directors and audience become one. Our lives as actors are filled with other actors who enter from stage left and exit stage right. Some people show up in every scene, some only a few, providing punctuation to the real action. We wait for the invisible hand that's writing the story of our life that needs a sweet small voice to explain the themes for our audience. We strike a balance, life becomes an art form, each choice we make this evening is precious, and every chance for creativity is an opportunity. And we struggle with the meaning of it all, to varying degrees. We think the truly blessed people don't bother with the struggle and just have fun.
