About Me

Adam Weaver and the Ghosts I grew up in Mississippi. I met many great people there and continue to call many of them friends. Back South, I played drums in a few rock bands that played regularly in the college towns of Oxford, Starkville, Columbus, and Hattiesburg, Mississippi. When the final band, the Sunset Manual, broke up, I began to focus more on songwriting. Trent Dabbs, ex-lead singer for the Sunset Manual, convinced me that this new endeavor should be pursued. So before leaving Mississippi, Dabbs and I, along with several other friends and ex-bandmates took this collection of songs into the studio and recorded Someday These Will Be Yesterdays, an 8 song EP released independently. Dabbs now lives in Nashville and has released a couple nice solo records. After I arrived in Omaha, I began to play some small acoustic shows at a variety of venues. These were likely hilarious as I was nervous and awkward. I've managed to maintain both qualities through the years. Anyway, I continued writing songs, and started making some trips down to Mr. Lemons studio in East Nashville to work on a new album. The sessions in Nashville included Dabbs, Neilson Hubbard, Garrison Starr, and Kate York, as well as several Omaha musicians who had decided to join in. Gradually, Adam Weaver became the Adam Weaver band, which became Adam Weaver & the Ghosts, which eventually became the Ghosts. The Ghosts now include myself, Megan Caughey (vocals, keys), Kyle Moeller (drums), Andrew Penke (bass, keys), and Joe Ranne (guitar). Most of the Ghosts have been involved in a number of collaborative and solo projects before working with me. Basically, we want to rock you, pop you, and folk you into raptured oblivion.
